Massage/clinic is graded on a pass/fail basis. Attitude, attendance, and performance are the key criteria. Anatomy and Physiology grades are given based on written examinations according to the following scale: A = 90-100% B = 80-89% C = 70-79% D = 60-69% and F = below 60%. There will be nine exams, each worth 10% of the grade. The comprehensive final will be the final 10% of the grade. |
1. The student has completed all classroom assignments. 2. The student has maintained a C average in Anatomy and Physiology and passed the comprehensive final. 3. The student has satisfactorily completed all required hours of supervised body work and clinic internship. 4. The student has complied with all of the rules and guidelines of the school. 5. Payment in-full has been made of all tuition and fees. 6. A completed student log reflecting no less than 600 hours of instruction including 100 hours of Anatomy and Physiology, 100 hours of full subject review, a certificate reflecting CPR/ First Aid course completion (10 hours), and 290 hours of massage instruction (Theory and Practice massage book) and 100 hours of supervised practice/clinic hours. Successful completion of this course entitles the student to take the National Certification Exam, as required by the State of Iowa for Licensure( this is the full responsibility of the graduated student). |
Student records will be maintained by the school for a period of five (5) years. There is a $15 fee for each duplicate Certificate of Transcript. Official transcripts will be sent to the Iowa Depailrnent of Health. |
A student withdrawing from the course must submit a formal written statement documenting their intention and the date of their withdrawal. The refund policy is outlined under Tuition/Refunds in this hrochure. |
