The study and practice of various massage methods which include efflerage, petrissage, and other aspects of the Swedish massage techniques which are the most popular forms of massage in the U.S. All supplies, including linen and oil are provided for each student by the school. The student will learn to give full body massages, and can also concentrate on specific areas of the body that are affected by muscle spasm, stiffness, scarring, pain, or other medical problems. |
Reflexology is an ancient and non-invasive therapy working on peripheral nerve endings in each foot to improve and increase circulation and to provide relaxation. |

ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY |
A study of the body as a whole, with emphasis on the muscular and nervous systems. The skeletal, circulatory, lymphatic, endocrine, integumentary, and digestive systems will be discussed as well. The student will learn how these systems work together, the origins and insertions to muscles, biomechanics, and specific nerve functioning. |
PREGNANCY |
Pregnancy massage can help relieve backaches, breast soreness, leg cramps, fatigue, and stretch marks. |
CHAIR MASSAGE |
Contemporary technique concentrating on the upper body that is oil-less and performed in a specifically designed chair. |
CPR AND FIRST AID |
This course is required for all Therapeutic Solutions students. Students must provide a valid copy of the certification before graduation. |
DRAPING |
A professional technique of covering the body with towels/sheets while working with the client which provides warmth and a sense of well-being. |
PROFESSIONAL ETHICS |
Concepts of business practices, ethical situations, licensing requirements, critical situations, as well as legal, financial, and social issues. |
